Back in the Game Physical Therapy is a family owned and operated orthopedic physical therapy clinic. We aim to provide compassionate, personalized, and revolutionary treatments that help our patients regain function by decreasing pain and improving strength and confidence. Our licensed therapists are trained in the newest, evidence-based techniques.
Our patients are our number one priority. It is our intention to make it possible for all patients to receive the physical therapy they require with a rehabilitation program that is specifically designed to meet their individual needs.

Meet the Physical Therapists
Brendon Blake, PT, DPT
Brendon is co-owner of Back in the Game PT with his wife and Practice Manager, Gina. They opened Back in the Game PT in November of 2011. Brendon graduated from Andrews University in Michigan with his Master's in Physical Therapy in 1999. He earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree in 2018 from Arcadia University. Brendon is a Dry Needling Certified Specialist (CIDN) and has been dry needling for many years. He has enjoyed working with a wide variety of patient populations including outpatient orthopedics, home health care, pediatrics, as well as working with professional athletes of different sports. He is well versed in the treatment of orthopedic injuries with a specific interest in treating the spine, manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, and chronic pain. Brendon is originally from South Africa and enjoys spending time with his family, being active in his church, and doing track days at Road Atlanta.
Melissa Albert, PT, DPT
Melissa graduated from the University of North Georgia with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2015. She has completed Advanced training in dry needling and spinal manipulative therapy. She enjoys working in outpatient physical therapy and is highly knowledgeable in treating chronic pain, sports injuries, vertigo/dizziness, and post-surgical conditions. In her free time Melissa enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, exercising, wake boarding, relaxing on Lake Lanier, and playing with her dog.
Andrew Kneeburg, PT, DPT
Andrew Kneeburg is a physical therapist from Dacula. He graduated from Tennessee State University with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016. Andrew specializes in Orthopedics. He enjoys helping his patients achieve their goals and reach their full potential. For fun he enjoys exercise, going to the lake, snow skiing, and has a passion for cars. He also has a Certificate in Dry Needling (CIDN).
Ben Braza, PT, DPT
Ben Braza graduated from the University of North Georgia with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2018. He is currently trained in spinal manipulation therapy and a wide range of other manual therapy techniques, including Dry Needling (CIDN). Ben is also TPI certified to help increase a golf player's performance through a deep understanding of how the body functions during the golf swing. He enjoys working in the outpatient setting where he can use his knowledge of therapeutic exercise and manual therapy to treat a variety of injuries and post-surgical conditions. In his free time, Ben enjoys spending time on the golf course, lifting weights, and trying new restaurants in the Atlanta area.
Trey Short, PT, DPT
Trey graduated from the University of North Georgia with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2018. He is currently trained in manipulative therapy and dry needling (CIDN). He enjoys working in the outpatient setting because he has the opportunity to meet a wide variety of people. In his free time, Trey enjoys exercising and hanging out with his friends and family. He also loves watching and keeping up with sports, especially football and baseball.
Jason Kawamura, PT, DPT
Jason graduated from Georgia State University with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2018. He specializes in orthopedics and enjoys practicing in the outpatient setting treating sports injuries, chronic pain, post-surgical conditions, and dizziness. He has also completed his Certificate in Dry Needling (CIDN). Jason enjoys playing the violin, going on hikes, martial arts, and keeping up with sports especially football and hockey.
Sarah Keeney, PTA
Sarah graduated with honors from Lanier Technical College obtaining her Associates of Applied Science, Physical Therapist Assistant Degree in 2020. She has been a Certified Personal Trainer since 2007, and a Certified Group Fitness instructor since 1999. Sarah enjoys working in the outpatient physical therapy setting where she can put her knowledge of therapeutic exercise to work in treating a wide variety of injuries and neurological conditions. In her free time, she has regularly competed in countless local fitness events, including a Half Ironman triathlon raising funds and awareness to benefit medically fragile children. She enjoys hiking, gardening, lifting weights, spending time with her family and friends, and eating french fries.
